For your personal and intimate wedding the Lagg Hotel on the Isle of Arran offers a unique venue. Set in a secluded wooded hollow with a river in its own extensive and lovingly cared for gardens. Lagg Hotel provides the perfect setting for a wedding celebration on the Isle of Arran.

We have a licence to hold civil marriage ceremonies either in the hotel or in the gardens of the hotel. We are also happy for religious ceremonies to take place at the hotel if this is desired. There is a Church of Scotland just 5 minutes away in the village of Kilmory. There are also a number of other churches in nearby villages on Arran.

The large dining room of Lagg Hotel can seat up to 110 guests and can be transformed for a much larger reception in the evening.

The hotel has 13 bedrooms: 3 single, 2 family, 1 four poster suite, 5 doubles and 2 twin rooms.

Wedding guests at Lagg are given exclusive use of the hotel and gardens.

At Lagg we offer a very personalised bespoke wedding service. We are happy to help with any or all of the wedding arrangements. Please ask to speak to Mary or Peter at the time of enquiry.

Price: £35 per person for 3 courses plus coffee for 1 choice per course.
£3 per person for each additional choice thereafter. Choose your own selection for your menu. Contact us with any requests we are happy to work with you in order for you to have exactly what you want for the meal.

  • Confit duck leg with braised red cabbage and sultanas and puy lentils
  • Roast rack of lamb with fine beans, oven roasted new potatoes and a red wine jûs
  • Roast breast of guinea fowl breast wrapped in pancetta with dauphinoise potatoes, brussel sprouts and a wild mushroom sauce
  • Roast chicken breast stuffed with skirly, fondant potatoes, baton carrots, fine beans and a shallot jûs
  • Roast sirloin of beef or chicken, roast potatoes, green vegetables, root vegetable croquette, yorkshire pudding and a red wine jûs
  • Baked salmon fillet with boulangère potatoes, sugar snap peas and a sundried tomato and pesto salad
  • Pan-fried halloumi with a mixed olive salad, warm sundried tomatoes and balsamic reduction
  • Filo parcels stuffed with wild mushrooms with roasted new potatoes, baton carrots, sugar snap peas and a parmesan cream
